The roots of ISIS: growth of the global phenomenon

A few weeks back, 21 youths from our god’s own country left their family and jobs to join the terrorist organization that has now turned into a global phenomenon.  What made these highly educated professionals to have ideals more primitive than the illiterate Afghan terrorists? How did the ideas like hell, heaven and salvation influence them deep enough to become terrorists?

The parents now proclaim that they are no longer our children. They cannot get away from the responsibility that easily. They are the ones who sent their innocent little children to the intoxication nicknamed religious studies. There is solid evidence that a lot of terrorist ideas are spread through these places. The naive little minds are seeded with emotional pressure points in their early childhood. After this, all further education is rendered worthless. They can be influenced into terrorism exploiting these pressure points. They are taught that a mob may be nothing to a king, but a king is nothing to god. Such thoughts are what make them forget laws when it comes to religion. Well, a god is nothing to non believer. Religion is not necessary to spread the love and harmony. I do not intend to preach atheism but we have to think before we make religion the pillars of our children’s worlds. We have to destroy this evil from its roots. The world nations must unite in the battle against this danger that has grasped the global society. Anything less than a strong combined fight would be like trying a band aid for a deadly malignant tumor.
