Drop acid, not bombs

The boundaries were dissolving. Boundaries between objects, the sky and the ground, me, and everything else.
A strong feeling that I was going to die came over me. This was my ego dissolving.
I told myself to relax, took a deep breath in, and turned off the music. I let myself fall into the bottomless pit.
I was seeing sounds, colours were palpable, each sense was like an instrument playing the one song, the universe. That’s why it was called so, because it was one single masterpiece you created for your own perusal. The duality was a grand magic trick. My ego was just there so that I could appreciate the observed as the observer. I was in nothingness; I had reached the truth.
Any attempt to explain what followed would be as futile as trying to explain colours to a man blind by birth. I gained perspective, I was happy, and open and free.
Hallucinogens dissolve the boundaries of your consciousness and let you experience the reality outside the shell of your ego. You are no longer your body, you become one with everything. It is the same state yogis attain with years of penance and meditation. One can either use it to trip on the changing colours, or she can use it for self-exploration, perspective, or solutions.
Why are these substances illegal when they have almost no long-term side effects, no medical evidence of addiction and work better and are safer than most anti-depressants? Because they dissolve opinion and herd people towards peace and love. Because they show us how pointless the things we live our lives for are. Because an awakened generation cannot be manipulated by consumerism and will not show political allegiance. That could end wars and create more art.
Human beings have consumed hallucinogens like psilocybin for the last 9000 years. We need to identify the priapism of the evil men in power and treat it, as humanities first step to shanti.
